Nashville Sounds Announce May Concert

Line-up includes Gary Quinn and Two Ways Home

Following the success of the first two ‘Nashville Sounds In The Round’ events, it is back for the third instalment of the finest country music, brought to you in the heart of Birmingham. Presented by 'Your Life In A Song', this intimate songwriter round is hosted by home-grown duo Sally Rea Morris and Steve Marks as Gasoline & Matches. The night will feature performances from Gary Quinn, Two Ways Home and Stevie O’Connor telling the stories behind the music. A truly unique atmosphere, get your tickets now!

Much-loved reigning BCMA Male Vocalist Of The Year, Gary Quinn, is set to release his brand new acoustic EP very soon and will no doubt be showcasing his fresh material at our event. Another trip to Nashville towards the end of 2017 allowed Gary to spend time with the likes of legendary songwriters Steve Wariner and Phil Vassar, adding another dimension to Gary’s critically-acclaimed writing expertise, and his upcoming EP will follow his ‘I Remember’ EP which included a string of fan favourites like ‘Shame’ and ‘Body Language’. His performances at the likes of Buckle & Boots and Millport have proved hugely popular with festival-goers and there’s absolutely no questioning his experience on the UK circuit.

Two Ways Home are made up of Isabella (originally from Vienna) and Lewis (who grew up in Gloucestershire). Highlights from their hugely successful 2017 include the release of their critically acclaimed ‘Closest Stranger’ EP and follow up single ‘Outlaws’, performing at Country Music Week, along with major shows at London’s Green Note and The Arches as well as shows in Nashville, Vienna and festivals around the UK. The duo have been working behind the scenes developing their sound and crafting new songs; new single ‘As I Leave’ was written in Nashville with local country duo The Young Fables, who have become close friends of the pair. Described as ‘Breathtaking’ (Lyric Magazine) this new song showcases a slightly different side of Two Ways Home, and it’s a taster of more new material on the way!

Stevie O’Connor is an emerging and emotional UK country singer-songwriter. Having honed his craft as a session musician with some of the biggest names in music, this troubadour is now winning over audiences wherever he plays. He catapults passion in every word he sings and as a result has a string of festival appearances lined up this year. It’s certain Stevie’s syle is embedded in red dirt Texas country. A debut album is on the cards by late summer and a US tour beckons. The future looks bright for this exciting new addition to the scene!

The hosts of the event, Gasoline & Matches, are another of the UK’s brightest emerging country acts. The duo have a unique blend of heart felt vocals fuelled by edgy guitar licks, which proved extremely popular at the likes of Buckle & Boots and FSA Fest last year. So well, in fact, that they were even nominated for BCMA Duo Of The Year alongside The Shires and Ward Thomas. Think Bonnie Raitt meets Brad Paisley and you’re half-way there for this explosive 5-piece about to set the UK Country scene alight.
