Millport Festival Returns for 25th Year

    American Young among headliners for 2019 Festival

    THE BEATING HEART OF COUNTRY MUSIC IN SCOTLAND RETURNS FOR ITS 25THYEAR!

     

    50 artists will appear at this year’s Millport Country Music Festival, representing some of the best country music talent from Scotland, across the UK, Ireland and the USA. From traditional to modern, from Americana to country rock, just about every country taste will be catered for. Tickets go on sale 6pm Thursday April 11th2019

     

    The first 25 artists to be announced are American Young and Lockeland from Nashville, the legendary Sydney Devine, Remember Monday (fresh from The Voice), Sarah Jory, Scotland’s Eagles tribute band Hotel Caledonia, Izzie Walsh, Morganway, Gasoline & Matches, Jade Helliwell, Stevie O’Connor, Kezia Gill, Stuart Landon & Angels With Dirty Faces, Backwoods Creek, Keep It Country’s Kerry Fearon, Simon James & The Deep River Pilots, The Scoundrels, Elaine Lennon, Zoee and Have Mercy Las Vegas appearing across the Nashfield, Cactus Jack’s and Maverick Acoustic stages, along with Carson City, Steve James, Rick Lambert, Greyhound Express and Rodeo Stomp in the dedicated line dancing venue.

     

    And we are only halfway there as we will be announcing many more great artists in the coming weeks!!

     

    Located within the Garrison House grounds at the heart of the beautiful seaside town of Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae, less than an hour from Glasgow, a festival wristband will offer access to all four music stages with early bird ticket prices held at last year’s levels.

    Alongside many music and other entertainment options suitable for all the family, the Emerging Talent Showcase will return on the Sunday to provide up and coming talent with the opportunity to perform on a festival stage.

     

    Millport Country Music Festival has teamed up with CountryLine, the must have app for Country Music fans, to offer every ticket holder a year’s FREE premium membership. CountryLine will bring exclusive interviews with many of the acts appearing at the festival before the weekend and also cover all the fun at Millport. As a premium member, a ticket buyer will also get “access all areas” to all the fantastic features that CountryLine has to offer including backstage interviews, music videos, podcasts, gig footage, exclusive sessions and much, much more.

     

    PS Waverley has timetabled a Millport Country Music Festival Cruise on Sunday 1st September this year, leaving Glasgow in the morning and heading "Doon The Watter", stopping at Greenock and arriving at Keppel Pier inMillportfor the festival, returning back to Greenock and Glasgow early evening.

     

    On Friday 30th August, the last ferry will be at 10.30pm leaving Cumbrae Slip. On Saturday 31st, Calmac will operate an extended service; patrons must be at Cumbrae Slip no later than 10.30pm if they wish to travel back to the mainland. On Sunday 1st September, the last ferry will be at 8.30pm leaving Cumbrae Slip.

     

    Glamping and camping, with showers and toilets, will be available within an easy walk of the festival site. Superb food, drink and entertainment will be on offer on site and throughout the town as Millport becomes Nashville for the weekend.
